AWARD-winning florist Zara Dalrymple is to move her popular East Grinstead-based business Zara Flora to a new studio at Ashdown Park Hotel in November.
It’s an exciting venture for Zara, whose distinctive and original style has been showcased in and around the town for two decades - at weddings, funerals and civic events, and in her gorgeous gift bouquets.
Loyal customers will still be able to place orders for delivery throughout the town and surrounding villages by phone, email or via Zara’s online shop at zaraflora.com – and by appointment in person.
“We are already Ashdown Park’s ‘resident’ florist for the house and wedding flowers, guest bouquets and events, so it makes sense to move there,” said Zara, whose studio will be based in a two-roomed cottage next to the walled garden.
“The hotel grounds are magnificent - and a real inspiration for creative work like floristry.”
And Zara hopes that without the ties of a retail outlet, she and her team will be able to offer a more personal, by-appointment service including home visits for funeral planning, and a town centre pick-up point for pre-ordered flowers.
“The hotel will make a wonderful base which will give us convenient access to all the areas we currently serve,” said Zara.
“Where our customers are concerned, it will be very much business as usual.”

* Zara’s last day of sales at the shop in Ship Street will be Saturday 4 November. She will open for orders at her Ashdown Park studio from Tuesday 7 November.
