Coffin Sprays

A double-ended spray is a traditional form of floral tribute, placed on top of the coffin, for a funeral. It is a more-or-less diamond-shaped arrangement of flowers and greenery, rising and rounded in the centre, narrowing and tapering off to a lower point at each end. We recommend a Regular [150cm] length tribute (approximately 4'11") to cover about three quarters of a standard coffin; it is graceful and well proportioned. A Small [100cm] version (approximately 3'3") may be appropriate if other items (or more flowers) are being placed on top of the coffin as well. A Large [190cm] tribute can extend the full length of a standard-sized coffin (approximately 6'2"). The height at the centre of a coffin spray will vary (between 25cm and 45cm typically) based on length and composition; also to allow sufficient clearance when the coffin enters and exits a hearse with the flowers in place.
